13. Most Windows platforms are running WindowsXP. Since Microsoft is phasing out support for XP, we are considering whether to make Vista Business the standard build for new machines. Vista generally requires more memory and a better graphics card than XP and has a somewhat different look and feel. Most 16-bit software (left over from previous versions of Windows) works in XP, but not in Vista. Your opinion would be appreciated.

(It is not intended for personal use. If you are no longer employed by Sweet Briar you are expected to remove the software.)

22. JourneyEd manages our Campuswide licensing agreement with Microsoft. Educational discounts are available for faculty and staff through their web site (http://www.journeyed.com). Products offered include Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop and many other products. The Microsoft licenses are more expensive than the work at home version, but they are licensed to you rather than the college and can be used as you see fit.
